I made some more progress on Dorothea Padies. I stitched all the way down- Pages 1-3. I am more than 1/3 done with the sampler. She is going to be a teeny tiny Dorothea. 1 x 1 on 40 ct linen with HDF SSF. The sampler can be found here

I have always wanted to try my hand stitching 1 x 1 on 40ct. When Vikki Clayton introduced SSF ( Single Strand Find) I decided to gve it a try. I chose

I have stitched a little bit more than this but am too lazy to take a picture now.
The sampler is 170 x 239. Mine, when finished, would measure 6 " x 4.25 ".

It has been a while since I posted. I just have not been up to it until now.
After my return from India I was really feeling down, didn't feel like stitching at all. Then one of my very good friends, Heather, suggested that I join Nicola's Scarlet Year Challenge. I mulled it for a few days. Returning to the US after losing my adopted mom, I didn't think I could do it. But once I read the rules and realized that there is no pressure to finish a sampler, I thought I would give it a try and joined. I am glad I did since it brought back my passion for stitching.
For the challenge, I started with Pattern Record. I have stitched a little bit more than the picture but don't have an updated pic.
I am using HDF from Vikki Clayton.

I wanted a break from the blackwork and so I started Mery Cox. I have had this chart for a while and was starting to feel guilty about not stitching it. I am enjoying this a lot. I am using HDF for this as well.
After seeing Nicola's Alphabet Sampler from Victoria Samler, I decided to stitch that as a wall hanging. I am in the proces of collecting supplies for it. Can't wait to get started on that.
